Please see photos of my bike under my username...
Hi there, I have had this bike for about 6 years. I was just trying to identify it, but can't see any photos online of DeRosa's that look like this one..
Is it a genuine DeRosa? Any help would be much appreciated. -

Like the bottom of the bottom bracket shell. Does it have the standard DeRosa heart cutout? What cutouts/pantographs are there on the various lugs? -

Looks genuine but I'm reserved on the seat stay and chain stay bridge. If the bottom bracket shell has multiple slotted cutouts then it's genuine. I believe it's a late 70's without the diamond shape chain stay's and without the engraved heart in the bracket shell, the lugs looks genuine. A picture of the seat lug and BB will be a good indicator but I have mixed feelings on the seat stay top eyes or caps. -

Ah, I have done some research and I am pretty damn sure this is a NZ custom built Bosomworth bike. The would make it late 1970s. I will have to update my bike profile tonight. I may just leave the derosa deciles on it as they look nice and turn heads:)
I was going to powder coat the front forks white, put on a white saddle and white bar tape, but I may just leave as is now.
Anyone know about Bosomworth? This would make it pretty rare, but possably not as collectable as a derosa? -

Posted By: targetBobwas going to powder coat the front forks white,
please don't, not trying to be an ass but that would look awful on a chrome frame. the bike is gorgeous, leave it alone!
[edit] i rescind my statement, i didn't realize that the fork doesn't match. i think anything other than a chrome fork would look off, i'm sure you can find a relatively convincing chrome replacement. -

Thanks for all the comments helping identify the bike. I now figured out what it is. I took a new set of photos and uploaded under my bike profile - check them out!
Yeah Aaron, you are probably right about the forks.I don't think I will powder coat them. If the bike is Bosomworth they could be the original colour anyhow. The DeRosa deciles should probably come off and be replaced by Bosomworth ones, but I don't think I have the heart to take them off as I like DeRosa's so much!
