    My girlfriend is taking a modern communications course and has to write a blog. so since she cant afford a car she has taken to biking, so she is writing about her learning curve and the cat that has adopted her at her new apartment...hence the name
    well anyway the professor bases her grade on the number of comments and repeat visiters that leave comments so all comments are greatly appreciated i was hoping some of the patrons of Velospace, even if it is only once, could leave a comment here even though most of the posts might seem basic knowledge to you.

    So grading is based only on unique visits and number of comments? Or is content, layout, etc. graded as well?

    i'm not really sure. a blog is a matter of opinion to start with so it is pretty hard to grade content. and since its a communications class i think the grade is more awarded on consistently posting and having some one read it, the comment is just proving that communication took place between the reader and writer

    In my experience, nobody wants spelling corrections.

    Is she at UOP, or is there a college in Stockton I haven't heard of?

    we are both juniors here and we really enjoy it. Stockton isn't the most entertaining city in the world but its an hour from downtown sac, 40min from SF, less than 2 hours for some of the best snowboarding in CA. sorry to tell you but since my freshman year the party scene has been in pretty solid decline though (due to the fire marshal lowering all the max occupancies in the frats)

    I'm sorry, did you just say that a professor is unable to grade a student's writing? In a communications course?
