Hey, can you help a fellow cyclist who isn’t computer literate enough to figure this out?
Please tell me how I can post a picture with my post like this:Posted By: Aaron C

i'm not real computery or anything but all these neat features like embedded link, images, quotes, font alterations are done with html tags the ones used on here most frequently are
insert link [a href="URL here"]link text here[/a] ie stinkypete
insert image [img src="image url"] note you need to open the image in a separate window or tab so that you can get the specific images url

obviously (or maybe not) you need to replace [ or ] with < or > to make the tags work
just google html tags or something and you will find many more that work, or you can just hit the "format comment as html" button on the velo forums and quote someone who did something that you though was cool and copy/remember the tags they used.Posted By: stinky peteWell look at that! BTW, Aaron, if you want to post straight code you can always use the code tag:<a href="http://penisbreath.com">YOUR MOM!</a>
Holy crap, that forwards to a porn site. NSFW!!!!!!!!!! -

Well, OK, if you say so I guess...
You got to remember that you’re trying to explain this to a guy that was used to writing with a #2 pencil before all this computer stuff came along.
I guess if I can do it by mistake in this post, I can figure it out.
I just thought there was something in place for it like there is for pics of my uploaded bikes, but I didn’t know about it.
THANKS anyways!! -

To explain things a bit you'll be using a web language called HTML here on the forums when you want to do more than just post text.
There isn't much need for you to learn HTML fully or anything, just the bits for posting pictures of lickedwicked in a bikini and all that.
The "tag" you'll use for posting images will be something like<IMG SRC="http://techdump.net/lickedwicked/mission_accomplished.jpg">
What's happening there is you're saying IMaGe SouRCe equals "somewebsite.com/somepicture.jpg"
It's important that the address of the image is in between your quotation marks and you check the Html button bellow where it says "Format comments as".
If you follow that you'll be set.
