Well thanks a lot guys, this thread put bad mojo on me. I was the victim of my first drive by food assault about 45 minutes ago. Actually it was an attempted drive by food assault because it only skimmed my sweatshirt. I turned my headlight off and chased them through side streets but they got away. I suspect they pulled into a driveway. Pickup trucks full of high schoolers are dangerous. -

It's like pulling your hair, you know? They're just trying to get your attention. They'll grow out of it when they get up the courage to offer to buy you a drink. -

RE: passing stopped traffic on the right.
Yeah I'm gonna fucking sit there there next to the car I was riding next to until the light turns green. If I want to sit in traffic I'd drive a car. If the shoulder is clear I go and if it isn't I hop one lane over and lane-split. Ooooooooooh, it's dangerous. Pussy. It's illegal. Is it? So if there's a bike lane I go to the head of the class and if it's the shoulder of the road I sit there and wait? Fuck I'll paint my own white line before I sit and wait in traffic while I'm on a bicycle.
The people who move over to the right are just pissed that you can make time on them while riding a bike. It is and insult to their manhood (or bitchhood) that you passed them on your bike. Also they don't want to have to go around you again, it was so much trouble to share the lane and be careful passing you the first time. I will get alongside either side of them and yell at them that they have to leave the shoulder clear for bikes, that I have every much a right to the road as they do. -

every single time i've been yelled at, its been by a lower class citizen. believe me, i'm not exactly well off. i havent had a bike in over a year cause i can't afford a new wheel set, but whatever. i noticed that people who are just mad all time. who's lives suck, are the ones who hate bikers being on the roads. -

I smacked some suburban kid, sitting shotgun in a minivan, in the face last weekend in Chicago. Stupid kid was hanging outa' the window yelling at me and everyone else on the street. It wasn't hard to catch-up with him, on Michigan Ave., and let him know how I felt about that. Kid is just lucky I didn't have my bike lock in my back pocket. -

I have more negative interactions with affluent bitches in gigantic SUVs than with "lower class citizens". Maybe it's because I look like "them" wearing jeans and a flannel.
