General: Pista Concept bar spin?

Hey all,

I recently got my hands on a 2003 pista concept. I was always under the impression that all the pista concepts one could bar spin with no modifications. Amiwrong about this, cause I put on a 700c wheel just to test it out and it's no where near to clearing the down tube!

either you need a 650c or a different fork. just one, not both. get the right stem too.

Uuuuugh.

Yeah, just stop the bar spins and ride the bike for what it's intended for. If you want to do barspins, buy one of the BMX company fixed frames.

However, I think the larger sized frames like a 58cm and larger you can spin, but you need lower profile tires like Grand Comps.

If the guy wants to do tricks on his bike, let him do tricks. It's a Concept, not an S-Works. He's not hurting anyone, and we ALL look stupid on a bike, so why not look stupid doing what he thinks is fun?

And you were misinformed. Concepts do not barspin. You should have looked into that before you bought it.

Haha! wow, it's amazing to me how worked up people get about doing tricks on track bikes! One would think there are way more important things to get upset and angry about in the world right now than this topic, but hey... to each his own.

Well, I didn't buy the Concept just to do bar spins. It's a beautiful bike, don't think any one would deny that. I love riding, as i hope most people on this forum do.

Having said that, after a while it's natural to want to progress and try new things. I like challenging myself and it's cool that people are taking a piece of equipment intended for one thing and manipulating it to express another. That's called innovation, "thinking-outside-the-box", ect. I'm into that, and that is where and when cool shit happens.

Apparently some one told me wrong about Pista Concept's and bar spins.

As far as BMX bikes are concerned I'm not into it. In my opinion there is nothing sexy about a BMX bike.

And if there's nothing sexy about a BMX bike then god forbid you ride a bike for it's practical use.
