They finally shipped my order placed on September 20th on Tuesday. I never got an email saying my order was back ordered or anything during those 3+ weeks. I guess i just forgot iI had a pair of rims coming so I never email them and asked them what was up. I guess I should have listened to the rabbi and steered clear of them. Lesson learned. At least I can finally build my girlfriend those wheels I promised her.

I ordered two white aerohead rims, one msw and the other nmsw. I've had these Iro hubs sitting on my desk for like 2 months waiting to be used.

I try to do as little online shopping as possible. Its not that I dont like the anonymity of it, its more about getting something when you want it, not more then a month down the road. However, prowheelbuilder is almost always on back order.

Yeah I just got them today and the box said "euro asia imports" on it. Whenever I order something I never need it right then so I don't mind waiting for it.

they got them from eai and then sent them to you. it could just be that they had to be ordered because they weren't in stock.

It just would have been nice if they had told me, like their policies page says, "...If there is a problem such as back ordered product / unavailable we will contact you as soon as possible."

Yeah he's pretty crap about communicating with people. I almost ordered some rims from there but after a couple people I know bitched and moaned about waiting forever for wheelsets and never getting replies to emails I decided to skip it.
Backorder is understandable but not keeping your customers in the loop is uncool. That's how places go out of business.

And that's why I will never order from him/them again.

I totally agree with the comments made regarding the pore communication. We do keep in stock a ton of products however we offer many more on the site than we have the ability to keep on hand. We order from all the main and obscure distributors. This insures that we are able to source products others can not. We have gone so far as to air freight items in direct from the manufacturers.
Please keep in mind that we are only a 2 person operation and that we are growing like mad. I do my best answer all the emails that I come across (500 + per day plus the ones that end up in SPAM). All that being said, we are moving to a warehouse (so we can stock more products) in the coming months and are in the process of launching a new website as well as hiring a new employee to answer all the emails and phones.
As I mentioned before, we are growing and trying to do so with pissing off as few people as possible. Thank you for your understanding?

Classy. Very classy actually. It's not often you get a forum response like this. Above I mentioned that poor communication is how businesses go out of business, owning up to setbacks and working to fix them is how businesses stay in business and generate community support.

    Kudos for sure.
