Can anyone tell me what spoke length is required for a Suzue large flange hub 36h mated to a Araya Gold rim? I want 1X in front 3X in the rear. -

Unfortunately, the UBI calculator assumes that you know what the terms mean, and what to measure, so you can fill in the formula. Damon Rinard's Spocalc (an Excel spreadsheet/calculator) includes presets for a variety of rims and hubs. Araya Gold's in there, as is the Suzue high-flange front; the high-flange rear is not, but there may be something close. -

I do not have the tools to measure anything, that's why I ask. -

That's what the little question marks are for. I also think if you are going to be lacing rims these terms should be learned along with dish, axle spacing, and chainline.
These measurements are for Suzue ProMax SB
Flange dia. 67mm
Front hub flange c/l to flange c/l 69mm
Rear hub flange c/l to flange c/l 62mm
googled Araya gold rim ERD and got 615 back in more than one search result.
Spokcalc has given me bad numbers before which is why I use the UBI calculator.
36 hole
front wheel 1x = 277.2
rear wheel 3x = 292.6 -

Good luck with your wheel build. Tighten them evenly and remember you can move the rim where you want it to go by loosening spokes as well as tightening them. Check the dish often, it will save you some work. Take your time and have fun with it. -

I'm awfully fond of Edd, m'self. You don't need to know anything unless you've got a really obscure model of component. And then, once you measure it, you can add it to the database for everyone.
