    Can we make this STICKY by chance, until the 9th?

    Thanks kindly!

    I will update shortly with poster attached.

  4.
    Oh, man. I might even be in Quahogland myself then.
  5.
    Crap. I'm going to be camping. Which will be awesome, but with fewer bikes. Someone tape a camera to their bike. I want to see videos!

    Dumb question.. I'm no where near providence, but am curious... is actually building a bike involved in this race at some point? If so, that's awesome.

    Particularly if all the parts come in a big surrounding metal frame, and you have to pop the pieces out, like I did with all those WWI airplane models when I was a kid.

    ?

    Yes, that is awesome;

    Yes, the parts have to be popped out of a frame, or

    Yes, an on-site bike build is part of the race?

    If it's the last, that's going to slow it down as a spectator event. A special prize should be awarded to the rider who finishes the race with the largest percentage of the components he started with; there's going to be lots of shed bike bric-a-brac lining the course.
  8.
    The first one. I thought that would have been obvious.

    Those were my thoughts exactly, unless there was some sort of safety inspection check point involved. Seems like there would be a lot of potential for disaster though

    The theme of this Alleycat race will be Build-A-Bike. Riders will have several checkpoints all around the Providence area, in which they will collect one part of a bike from each checkpoint. The first one to build a complete bike wins. NOTE- Of course you will not be collecting actual bike parts, but rather awesome little cloth patches with each part silkscreen printed on them. No messenger bag required for this race.
