    Hello, not sure where everyone is from on this forum.. But I am sure someone is going to be there, and I am asking who all is attending the Tour of Missouri this year? I will be seeing stage 1 for sure, maybe stage 2, then I will probably be heading out to Kansas City to see stage 6 and 7, not 100% sure yet though.

    Teams Attending are as follows::
    Astana, Columbia HTC, Garmin-Slipstream, Liquigas, Saxo Bank, BMC Racing, Colavita/ Sutter Home, Kelly Benefit Strategies, jellybelly, Bissell Pro Cycling, Cervelo Test Team, Team Type 1, OUCH presented by Maxxis, Team Quickstep, planetenergy

    And if you would like to discuss anything about it go right ahead...

    Posted By: cyclecrazyjamesThe winner was Mark Cavendish

    I was wondering where he was. I figured him for Spain, but no...
  7.
    No, he isnt even in great britain racing.....

    I was there again today for stage 2, it was great I showed up earlier this time, was there even before the teams arrived. which was nice, I got to see all the teams pulling in. this is such a great event, the riders are so nice, the teams as a whole, managers are nice, they let little kids on their buses before races to give autographs, and do autographs to everyone before hand as well.

    I watch the start, and another spot down south from that, but didnt go to see the finish, had other things I had to do, but did watch it online for the finish. And yet again Mark Cavendish out biked everyone, to hold onto the yellow, He actually has 3 jerseys all together, the yellow, the sprinters jersey, and best young rider!!

    I will keep updating this till its over, for those of you who actually read this!!

    Larger metaphysical/logistics question: When a pro team such as Columbia-HTC (Cavendish/Greipel), Astana (Leipheimer/Vinokourov), Garmin (Zabriskie/Farrar), Saxo Bank (Voigt/los hermanos Schleck) etc. is scheduled to race simultaneously in two major-ish events, such as the Tour of Missouri and la Vuelta, how do the team's directors decide which riders compete in which event? Some principles are pretty obvious (US riders in the US event, big cycling names in the bigger-money European event), but what's the reasoning? Presumably, big stars can say "I'm not racing in Stage Race X this season", but how much say do individual domestique riders have in which events they race?

    Eaglerock, that is a very good question, I have asked that myself. I could try to find that out and give an answer, but not a big deal to me,, cause they are here in Missouri and all that matters to me right now!!!
