This is the first thing that came up on google when I copy and pasted the title of your post and searched it:

    http://www.ride-this.com/index.php/cinelli-jelly-handlebar-tape-translucent-clear.html

Seriously, you use velospace with no problem but can't use google?

Gotta scout around. I found a roll at an LBS, which I'm intending to use as padding under cotton tape. Spadout has a link to an Amazon seller who has it for $9.

Holy fucking god, before insulting you MaxThrash gave you a brand and product name.. Why don't you just turn that information around and search for "cinelli jelly" on Google Shopping and see what comes up? I don't mean to be rude but jesus, why the shit are you making people work for you?

I usually get mine on eBay. Though I like their tape, the handlebar plugs that come with it are pretty awful.

Or to be a little less crude: according to my LBS the stuff is a beast to wind. Due to the complaints he is not selling it anymore. The trouble is not worth it.

Double wrap it. IMO it doesn't look hideously thick when you do that and it definitely improves the comfort factor.

I've been using this for decades. It goes on well, wears well and it's cheap enough to change out often, you can even weave it. If your LBS can't figure out how to put this on, I certainly wouldn't let them air up tires... This was the most commonly used bar tape for many years in Europe. I wouldn't dbl wrap it, if you want it thicker (won't do much good), weave it, get two contrasting colors and make it look better than cork.. It doesn't have adhesive and if done right will last a good long time.. I think I wrapped these in 1996 (http://velospace.org/node/19647), go to the 4th pic..

If you want padding get better gloves.

It looks somewhat odd after a while, gets cloudy.

I would make a joke about semen right now, but .... Hey, that wrap looks like jizz. There.

Actually he does sell it. But only to teams, mechanics and selected collegues. Not to the common consumers.

True. Roekel Gel Padded gloves will do the trick.

I've used the cinelli bartape a bunch and its really good. Not a lot of cushion, but a really comfortable grip. Its really durable too, I would get small tears in my tape, but they wouldn't affect the tension of the rest of the tape.
