So I was heading to dinner the other night and passed this homeless guy pushing a fancy bike. As i rubbernecked he offered it to me for $40. I said no, knowing it was stolen but then thought I could get it from him and get it back to it's rightful owner. I know I would want someone to do the same if my bikes were ever stolen.
If you know anyone that as lost an s-works send them my way and have them give details of the bike they lost so i can match it up to them.

I already talked with the guy that lost one off caltrain and the guy that lost one at the ferry building but sadly this is not theirs. -

Like Joshua says: Get the link as it appears publicly on Craigslist - not the link within your Craigslist account. There are a number of us in the Bay Area, and we may hear something. -

I once found a wallet with 150.00 in it (but no ID) when I was a kid- took it to the local cop shop who held it for a couple weeks and then gave me the money. Pretty sweet deal.
Good deeds are always rewarded- even if it's just to know you did the right thing. In your case you just may end up with a sweet 40.00 bike. Good job dude. -

I wish I believed that good deeds were always rewarded, but this certainly seems like a win-win situation. -

positive vibes man. $40 is the homeless going rate for a good bike. a friend bought his indie fab back off of a homeless guy for $40. it was easier and more civil than calling the cops. and if no one claims it, here's to trying to be a good sam
