I'm kind of sick of seeing those wheels, at least on eBay. There's one in the category I regularly scour, Vintage Parts & Accessories, that's been for sale for what seems like an eternity.

on the ebay page it also has an item description which says "Look at the fabric jpegs, and see the special cuts that allowed for less fabric at the rim edge, and more near the hub"

i'm no 1980s disc wheel expert but it looks like some type of laminated fiberglass or kevlar.

Posted By: bigedmiamii have that frome sitting in my garage in the box

you have the exact same frame pictured on node 22509?
  6.
I think it may be a different frame style from bigedmiami, they made different models right? I dont know that much about them, but im sure they made different models, which looked different. but please correct me if Im wrong.

i have a KG196 exactly as the top photo in this thread, it is exactly the same color combo as well. the down tube is all the same size on that bike, if you look at the "Look" decals they are all distorted and stretched out i don't know what he did to the picture but it is not correct
  7.
there are a lot of things in that picture that would be distorted if it was tamperd with like the straight lines on the top tube and the curves of the wheels.and i would think that the angle of the decals would also play a part in making it harder to keep other parts of the picture normal looking. and looking in the back ground you can see where there is a shadow of the bike, wich would help prove that it wasnt copyd and pasted on a back ground. that being said i dont think it was tamperd with and it is the real deal and bigedmiami has a differant bike

bigedmiami: have you looked at his blog? there are many more pics of the frame which also would have been PS

i think its more likely you have a bike more like the second in the pic below.

  9.
i wouldnt put those bikes on the web if they were mine because i would be afraid that i would get robbed
  10.
Very true, but you know you cant keep something like that a secret, and not post them up somewhere for people like us to droooool over them, and talk about them for days like they are gods!!!!!!!!!!
  11.
    very true
  12.
if that bike was a god it would be zues
  13.
Wow man Mr. Wang has got some dollars to spend on a bike!

Consider me officially jealous of what's happening in those pictures.

i stand corrected, weird they have the same number??
  15.
Maybe they made one model for the track, and one as the time trial bike? Just a guess, but from the pic with the 2 frames next to each other, one has a hole for a brake and the other doesnt have a hole.
  16.
It is very difficult to steal a bike off a website.
  17.
wow are you that stupid, i always thought you were smart. i ment that people could come to your house and take it

One of the main reasons I love this forum, the diversity of bikes is awesome. It ranges from everything.

Eh, it's pretty fixated on fixed gear. But certainly becoming more diverse bike by bike.

Some people are; others, not so much. And those of us who aren't carry on just fine. We got greg to add breakout fields for brakes, derailleurs and levers, just by asking (okay, asking for awhile). But if it was really fixedspeedfixedspeedfixedspeed, why would greg have accommodated a minority group of malcontents?

(our local geared riders are jes' fine; it's them outside agitaytuhs that cause all the fuss)

We are getting more well rounded. Most of the people who use the forums regularly own and ride bikes that are not fixed. For example, I just checked everyone in this threads profile and almost all of them had bikes posted that werent fixed.

This place needs more monstercross bikes though. Those things are rad.

Posted By: eaglerockSomepeopleare; others, not so much.

I misspoke. What I really meant was that VS on the whole is pretty fix-centric, and really the forums are even more so. That said, I wasn't complaining at all, I spend time here because I want to see what everyone else is doing with their builds so my own track bike can be perfect to the last detail. When I get around to building it.
I was simply pointing out that VS has a much higher proportion of fixed bikes to other bikes than the average city, and that calling the site diverse is (imo) a little bit of an overstatement. That said, I am totally fine with people who ride what/how I ride and people who don't and really don't want to sound like I am bitching about VS users not being accepting of bikers of a different lifestyle. The site's users as a whole, and Greg, are great regardless of their pedaling choices.

Posted By: wes m.I just checked everyone in this threads profile and almost all of them had bikes posted that werent fixed.

This goes to my point, most people posted non-fixed bikes, but how many didn't post a fixed? My guess -- backed up by no research whatsoever -- is one. That seems pretty disproportionate. But again, I am not complaining.
  24.
I have posted both fixed, and geared, and singlespeed as well.

When I meant diverse, i meant in the way as yes most of the bikes we see if fixed, but its diverse in the way of you seeing your 5 dollar junk build, to your high dollar BMC fixed that everyone hates, and that I love. And then of course you see everything in between. I love seeing it all, especially the fact that they are riding a bike in general, and sharing their rides and experiences. Its a great thing!!
  25.
    Agreed, completely.
I just wish I could see the riders and laugh at how 75% of them have two-toned emo hair and the dudes wear girl's jeans. Present company accepted, of course.
  26.
    i guess im the 25%
