I posted my bikes this morning and some jelous guy gave me a feedback that this is not CL due to the fact that I wrote "if someone is interested in this bike to let me know" and I wrote down the price I would like to get ! Due to the fact that I'm new to the forum I cant post ads yet ! I own 134 bikes which some of them are in near and others are in mint condition ! It ended up tha my account was closed and due to this lets say "fabulose member here" I can start over from scratch !
THANKS A LOT !
I want to share my bikes with the rest of you and this is the result 3 hrs of work ruined by this person !
From the velospace management:
I deleted your account for a violation of the rules the first time and I've deactived your account this time. You obviously understand that you must be a new member for 15 days before you post sales, yet you try to get around that limitation by uploading 15 bikes and telling people the prices you are selling them for. That is ridiculous. You can't circumvent the rules.
The part you need to understand is:Rule 2. Only users may contact one another for the sale or trade of bike-related items. No corporate sales. If you are a business and want participate or advertise on velospace contact us.
and that ALL new users must wait 15 days before posting items for sale. -

PS : Im sure there are others here who deal with there used bikes , otherwise there wouldnt be a for sale section ! if you own as many as I do you make room for new and better , or you change the style you collect ! -

If the primary reason you post bikes on velospace is for business, which your post implies, you are going to get your account closed. Dont even bother putting in another 3 hours. I saw your bike for sale, I knew it was only a matter of time for you. -

Well the reason you cant use the for sale section is cause your new to the forum, he was simply stating its not right to post a bike then put its for sale the minute you post it. the ideal thing to do it wait your waiting period of using the FS section and then post them up. Its just the rules. -

Indeed. The purpose of uploading pictures of your bike and making a profile for it is so other members can jerk off over your vintage Ciocc or make fun of your lime green Aerosp0k. It is definitely not the classifieds section though. After a while (not sure what the waiting period is) you'll be able to use the "for sale" section and put stuff up there. The reasoning behind this, if I'm not mistaken, is to make sure people don't just use Velospace solely as a business tool. We're a community of enthusiasts who sometimes sell / trade our shit to each other, not a craigslist for bikes. There's plenty of other sites you can use if you wanna sell a bunch of your old bike stuff.
I'd say "honest mistake" but your username alone implies you're hear for one reason and one reason only. If so I'd say pack it up and have fun on eBay, If not then stick around and enjoy :)
Edit: upon checking out your profile and the 15 bikes you've already uploaded in the last 5 hours (no info, all same photo location, all same tags, all different sizes) it seems pretty clear that your ass is here to flip old bikes. I'd say your time is pretty limited. Not to be a jerk but we got us a nice thing here and really don't need the goddamn for sale forum flooded with your "vintage mixte only $500!" posts that are sure to start popping up any day now. -
