Does anyone know if the Panasonic Track 4000 was NJS certified? I tried doing some online searches but the results were slim and either led to photos on here or Panasonic electric equipment... -

from my knowledge from those njs frames, it should say njs on the bottom of the BB shell -

To my knowledge, the panasonic 4000 was produced for american markets and is therefor unlikely to be njs. -

why is that being a douche. Octo-Magic is right, why does it matter if its NJS? ask yourself: does said frames classification as njs/not njs affect your desire to buy it?
if it does is that stupid stamp really worth it?
are NJS parts generally good quality and nice looking? yes.
does anyone look at the underside of your BB, pat you on the back and say, "man you are so cool, you've got some Neat Japanese Shit."? i hope not. -

it kind of means of him being a dick, all the guy is asking is if the frame is njs or not, he doesnt say anywhere hes going to race keirin, or care if it is njs or not. Just simply asking if anyone has any info on if it could be njs or not -

Clearly he cares whether its njs or not, thats the whole point of the thread. I'm not going to say anything about the relevance of the stamp but lets not pretend that this is not what the thread is about... -

Doesn't the NJS certification have absolutely no bearing on quality? -

I wouldn't say that. The NJS certification is a standardization method so all riders are on equal ground equipment wise. At the same time you'd be really hard pressed to find an NJS certified component that wasn't of relatively high quality. Especially in the frames. It takes quite a bit to become an NJS certified framebuilder so if your frame has the little stamp on it you can be assured it was hand made by a master. That's certainly speaking to it's quality.
