Just found this out of boredom being that I am off from work. I knew I was pretty far left... but not this far. Take some time and check it out and post the results. Everyone should stay civil though!

If you look towards the bottom it gives a breakdown of contemporary political leaders and where they sit on the scale. It is amazing how close they are to fascism. -

Last time I went through customs coming back from england I was detained for four hours. I was not sure why until I thought about it. A few months before I left I had registered as a national socialist and I also had put socialist on my registration card. I am assuming that is why. Not surprised either. -

i landed with a -7.38, -7.54, granted i think it would have been more negative if i hadn't answered many of the questions with mental qualifiers. that being said i
think that it would be pretty difficult for a thoughtful human being to score positives on that test, considering the way many of the questions were worded.
i thought about pulling some of them off the test to look at more closely but i am not that bored. YET.
many of the questions were down right leading. once again i didn't bother looking because i am hungry, am trying to convince my self that i'd rather finish reading Second Foundation than sit on the interweb, but i assume that the organization that hosts that test is less than unbiased.
on another note: jaiden, jam guy, what do say about forming a anarchist/socialist bike collective? www.velocommune.org? -

Haha yeah the questions were completely leading. "If a small puppy named jones walked over and licked your shoe you would kick it's head in... a) Strongly Agree b) Agree c)..."
Man I have the toughest time getting through Asimov. Like I love the dude's ideas but I'll be damned if his writing isn't completely stale to me. I'm probably just too stupid to read nice thick sci-fi. Philip Dick, however, keeps me glued to the pages. I just finished The Man in the High Castle and I wanna go through that thing at least three more times this year. Ursla LeGuinn rules too. She strikes me as a really smart, crazy old lady who just wants to write alien porn but is embarrassed to so she ends up writing amazing stories about alien sexual politics and human puritanical slavery. Oh and Robert Heinlein was a fucking fascist. Starship Troopers was only half funny to him. Dude really believed in military suffrage.
Uhhhh... what were we talkin about?
Oh yeah, compass, anarcho kids, collectives...
Yah know I'd be willing to bet most kids who make under $35k per year and ride bicycles already are socialists and just don't know it yet. If you sat each one of them down and asked a couple of questions you'd get such similar answers.
"do you feel like it'd be better if the means of production were controlled by the workers themselves rather than the wealthy bosses?"
"fuck yeah dude! then we could split all that shit up evenly. everyone gets paid nice instead of a couple assholes. Also fuck workin 40 hours a week, we could get it all done and just as good in 25 easily... *daydream*"
"what if the government took most of your paycheck but straight up provided you with awesome healthcare, great housing, clean water, and nice schools. How would you like that?"
"sounds great man I already spend most of my check on that shit and none of it's awesome, great, clean, or nice"
"would you rather drop a 40 kiloton bomb on afghanistan or a 40 kiloton package full of food and medicine with a note that reads 'enjoy guys, more where this came from - love 'merica"?
"oh man you know I'm 'bout the grains and asprins!!!"
But then you'd ask the all important, "so you lean toward a socialist ideologies then?" and you'll hear back "ohhhh.. uhh.. no no.. internment camps? bread lines? naw... not for me".
fucking Stalin.
Hah, sorry.. uhhh... bikes.. errr bikes.. isn't lickedwicked funny??? yeeeaaah... -

on another note. omg i know where the second foundation is! +2 for me. i just finished the triology and wont ruin it for you jaiden if you every give it a chance.
agreed though, asimov's writing style is pretty forced at times... so what, i get it, you're a genius, do you really need to rub it in my face.
on another note, philip dick owns. i think "do androids dream of electric sheep" is my fav. as i once told the owner of a used book store, "i just love getting my hands on some dick."
...well, maybe it was quite that ridiculous, but i did feel like i had to leave immediately after the words fell out of my mouth. -

I think the test was pretty spot on. I mean you either go one way or the other. There were extremes going both ways. I think the questions are so blunt that there is no way for it to be rigged. I mean this question...
"Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races."
Some people would obviously agree with this and some would not. I also think that someone who is a right wing extremist would answer this yes (sometimes!) As compared to....
"No one chooses his or her country of birth, so it's foolish to be proud of it."
Where someone like me on the extreme left would answer yes to this (sometimes!)
The questions are so cut and dry that unless your were biting your tongue I feel that it gives a fair estimate. -

I found that question tough actually. You didnt choose it so why be proud but... If your country is doing good things for the world why shouldnt you feel pride about that? Is this question about pride just because you live there or the ability to have a somewhat justified sense of pride? I over think things. Anyways, I'm in the bottom left square, no doubt about it. -

I had trouble also. But then I think the bad outweighs the good. Actually, the good come nowhere near restoring my faith in this country. 1945 was the last year this country was great. Once the war machine was in motion it never shut off. -

this is something that i feel very strongly about. the nuance of these topics is extremely difficult to put into words. i myself would not classify anti-globalism as a right wing value in any real way (if by right wing you mean market capitalism). the politics of both sides have their contradictions, i don't like to classify myself as a dem or a repub, (largely because i have no faith in elected officials--both parties are full of money-pandering-douchebags). i'd say that philosophically i am an anarchist (spare me your comments), and that practically i often side with the green party.... -

Anti-globalism is also something I have trouble equating with the republicans. Although both sides of the aisle suck nowadays. I also find it harder to support american companies nowadays. I can go forever on that but I will not. We all can agree though that beer is great. -
