    Yeah, I vouch for the quality of his work. He's a friendly guy too. The picture in that ad is of my frame, I guess the new one is identical but unpainted. I dont know though, I havent talked to him about it. I bet he will take a low offer if you are a motivated buyer.

    He's been doing that for a few months; the white-saddle-fetish thing has been going on around the Bay Area for some time.

    He's a reasonable guy; I bought a Campy Record seatpost off him in June, and he drove it up from San Jose to deliver while he was in Berkeley. I imagine he's tired of the emails from the Nü-Freds saying "But...but...I really need a white saddle to match my Deep Vs* and Zaffiros*! I know they're rare, but rocking parts that other fredz can't get makes me kül!"

    *Note: In the interest of civil community relations, I did not link to any of the many bikes on velospace with white Deep Vs, white Zaffiros, or (in a few alarming cases) both.

    Having said that, I will be taking not one, but two white saddles to the Mosswood Park swap tomorrow in Oakland. Style-weasels may purchase them if they wish, in exchange for a lot of money.

    This is one of my favorite bikes I have ridden but the rent must be paid. The frame on this bike is a mid 80’s Fuji team that is made out of quad butted steel. The geometry is super tight reminiscent of the geometry of true track bikes. I am sorry to have to let this one go.
