6PC?
Problem: Buying a bag is a pain. How big of a bag do I need? How much stuff do I usually carry? How much stuff can I cram into a 1500/2500/3500 cubic inch bag? How big is a cubic inch? Why do bag companies use cubic inches as the standard of measurement?

Solution: Use the 6PC standard. The Six Pack Cacpity (6PC) standard is a simple way to understand the capacity of a given bag. The 6PC standard tells you, approximately, how many six packs a bag will hold.
Benefits: The 6PC offers a common sense approach to bag sizing. It is easy to visualize how much space a six pack of beverages takes up. Most bike riders have handled six packs at some point in their life, some may even handle a six pack three or four times a week. Serious bikers may find themselves carrying six packs around in their bags from time to time. Wouldn't it be nice to know, for future purchases, just how many six packs you will be able to carry?

Standard: The standard measurement used in the 6PC calculator is a 12 ounce aluminum can. The can measure 2.5" x 2.5" x 4.75" or 29.7 CI. A "raw" six pack is 178.2 CI. An "adjusted" six pack is 29.7 CI (per can) + 5 CI (buffer per can) x 6 (six pack of buffered cans) = 208.2 CI. If you carry six packs of bottles more often than six packs of cans, you should adjust the 6PC down a bit. I will add in options for bottles/cans in the calculator after I get some detailed measurements.
